What about the technical stuff? Pocketschool's courses are available on all Australian Mobile networks. Lessons are delivered to your mobile phone daily and each lesson contains an audio file and text. Lessons are delivered via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) and the audio file is in MP3 format. What is MMS? MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service and is commonly referred to as picture message as this is what you use if you send a picture you take with your phone to a friend. MMS can also support the sending of audio, video and text and as such makes it an excellent format to send short lessons to your mobile. How do I activate MMS?If you are unsure if your phone supports MMS please try sending a picture message from your phone to a friend or simply SMS the word "test" to 04299 82 327. If you do not receive a test message in response then you should check if your phone supports MMS and can play an MP3, see http://www.gsmarena.com/. If your phone does have MMS support and you still cannot send or receive a MMS / picture message check with your phone carrier or try these sites: |
